The RRLC continuing education and training program provides extensive training for librarians and library staff at RRLC member libraries and library systems. The training program is open to people in all types of libraries. Most classes are offered free of charge and are held at RRLC’sTraining Center. The training includes a wide variety of topics, both hands-on applications training and “soft skills” like library management and financial planning. There are informal classes in our Monday evening “Pizza @ the Council” series, and some programs are offered in alternative late afternoon time slots so members can attend training on their way home from work. For those workshops that you are unable to attend, you can often download handouts (click on program handouts under the continuing education link on our homepage).
Visit the RRLC Events web calendar (click on “Calendar” on the menu at the top of this page, then select "RRLC Events") or click on Continuing Education, “Workshop Listing” to link to a complete description of the program.
RRLC’s website features individual accounts for our members. This enables you to log in to an area of the website where you can register for classes and programs, look at a schedule of your upcoming classes, and see a complete list of classes you have taken. You will need a username and password to access this part of the website. RRLC Staff are happy to help and can be reached at email@example.com or by phone at 585-223-7570.
RRLC Program Attendance Policy. The ability to attend workshops and training programs at little or no cost is one of the many benefits of RRLC membership. RRLC will accept registrations from non-members on a space-available basis. Non-members are asked to pay a modest fee. Payment may be made by check, purchase order or credit card and is due at the time of registration. It is now possible to use a credit card at RRLC's new online payment center. Please call the RRLC office for details (585) 223-7570.
Registration Policy. Registrations may be submitted online, or via delivery, mail, fax, or email. Reasonable accommodation will be provided upon request. To register online, go to www.rrlc.org and click on “Register for Courses”. Selected registrants receive confirmation by email. Those without email will receive a phone call.
